Welcome to Tuesday, Falcoholics. The good news is you made through Monday. The bad news is the weekend is still a long ways off. In any case, we’re glad you’ve joined us. So sit back, relax, and imagine what Kyle Shanahan would look like if he didn’t mind running the ball.

Have you tried our new links dipping sauces? They come in a variety of flavors and contain no artificial sugars.

Bye, Vic

The Vic Beasley era is coming to a merciful end. The team announced yesterday that they do not plan to engage Vic in contract negotiations and he appears headed for free agency. There are unconfirmed reports that Dan Quinn ran to the 50 yard line of the Flowery Branch practice field when he heard the news, dropping to his knees before exclaiming, “Freedooooommmm!!!” It’s unfortunate that Vic never became the dynamic pass rusher we all hoped he’d be. But different scenery will be good for Vic, and the absence of Vic will be good for the Falcons. It’s a win-win.

Long snapper + kicker + punter

I brought you our latest post-2019 roster review piece, and this time we highlighted a high-flying, athletic group. Long snapper and kicker appear to be under control for the moment, but punter is a real question mark. With any luck, Matt Bosher will check find a reverse aging machine and stay with the Falcons in perpetuity.

Oh, Kyle

The 49ers threw away a big lead yesterday, handing the Chiefs their first Super Bowl victory in 50 years. Whether Kyle Shahanan is cursed or just bad at coaching in big games remains to be seen. But the Falcoholic himself has 4 lessons we learned from this year’s Super Bowl.

Mock draftin’

The off-season has officially arrived, which means the draft is right around the corner. Eric Robinson’s latest mock draft is out, and this one has some fun twists and turns. Definitely worth checking out if you’re at all concerned about the future of this franchise and don’t hate puppies.
