Thursday should just be called Pre-Friday, and there’s no better time to dive into the Falcoholinks than a Thursday morning when you’re already eyeing the weekend.

Falcons may release Devonta Freeman

Devonta Freeman carries a hefty price tag, and that reason combined with his injury history and relative ineffectiveness of late had us considering the possibility that the Falcons would move on this offseason. Reports have now emerged that Atlanta is mulling releasing Freeman before next year.

We’ll keep a close eye on this one.

Internal Affairs

The left guard spot is a proverbial black hole for the Atlanta Falcons. The free agent signings of both Jamon Brown and James Carpenter have amounted to failures, and owner Arthur Blank has publicly stated that the team will be eyeing a left guard candidate in the 2020 NFL Draft.

But is there an internal option that could steady the line? The chances are slim, but it’s a possibility that the team must consider this offseason.

Greatest seasons: Offensive line

On the topic of the O-line, which offensive lineman put together the greatest season in Atlanta Falcons history? Mike Kenn certainly had a couple of years that would be contenders.

Matt Ryan reinforces his reputation as the best quarterback in Falcons history each and every year, and last season was no exception. Ryan put up 4,466 yards passing, which amounts to seventh-most in Atlanta history.
