Falcons vs. Chargers odds: Atlanta tabbed as road favorites in Week 14

The Falcons will travel to Los Angeles this week to take on the spiraling Chargers. They game they will play on Sunday is, at this point, basically just about pride and building towards something next year. But if the Falcons play like the numbers suggest they can, there’s no reason they shouldn’t come away with the win. (The Falcons have scored more points, allowed less points, and turned the ball over less than the Chargers.) Because these are the Falcons, humiliating defeat is always just around the corner. So we obviously take nothing for granted.

The Chargers are coming off a 45-0 drubbing at the hands of the now 6-6 Patriots. (Yikes. That had to hurt.) And as of Tuesday night, the Falcons were tabbed as 2.5 point favorites, so the Falcons need at least a 3 point win to beat the spread. It’s worth noting that the Falcons were 1 point underdogs when the line opened on December 1st, but things changed in the week that followed. Meanwhile, the over/under is sitting at 49.5.

For what it’s worth, the Falcons are 3- 2 against the spread over their last 5 games. The Chargers, however, are 1-4 against the spread over that same stretch.
