The Falcons can’t finish because Dirk can’t coach.

The Falcons had two opportunities to beat Taysom Hill and the Saints and they blew both games. They deserve all the criticism they get, but no one more than offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter, who called two consecutive run plays that killed a promising fourth quarter drive that would have given Atlanta the lead.

As always, I’m joined by Evan Birchfield to recap the Falcons latest loss to the Saints and to dissect what exactly happened in the game. Some of what we discussed:

  • Matt Ryan’s rough day and why he is not blameless
  • Dirk Koetter and his terrible, terrible play calling
  • The Falcons defense and why they are not the biggest issue with the team right now
  • So much more
