Ricardo Allen has been a quality starter for the Falcons throughout the year, but he and the entire Atlanta defense have struggled throughout this game against the Saints. They’ve somehow held New Orleans to 21 points despite the offense disappearing, but they’ll have to move forward without Allen.
Per the team, Allen suffered a potential head injury and will not return, with the team reporting a concussion. He has been replaced by veteran safety and core special teamer Sharrod Neasman.
Allen has been ruled out with a concussion.

Allen has been a reliable safety net for this Falcons defense over the years, and losing him will hurt this defense going forward against some very good passing attacks. We’ll have to hope this isn’t serious and we’ll see him back out there soon, regardless of how they performed in this one.
We’ll let you know if we get any updates, but if this is a concussion the Falcons may not have him next week.
