When you’re either beyond excited for a matchup or completely dreading it, sometimes it’s best if it just hurries up and gets here. Now that we’ve made it to kickoff for Falcons vs. Chiefs, it’s time to stop quietly steeling ourselves for doom and see if it comes.
This is your open thread for the day, and let’s hope for a better-than-expected effort from the Falcons that at least makes this a watchable game.
Atlanta Falcons at Kansas City Chiefs, Week 16
When: Sunday, December 27, 1 p.m. EST
Where: Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City, Missouri
Channel: FOX
Announcers: Kevin Burkhardt, Daryl Johnston, Pam Oliver
Streaming: FOXSportsGo
Radio: 92.9 The Game
Key Questions: Will Julio Jones play? Is this going to be a lopsided defeat or a close one? Can the Falcons hold Patrick Mahomes under 300 yards and 3 touchdowns?
Prediction: I believe in this team’s ability to keep things close despite the odds, just don’t see how this Falcons team can reasonably be expected to keep this close without their very best effort, and even then the Chiefs are good enough to not let them hang around. Chiefs 38 - Falcons 27
