It may be Christmas Eve, but the Atlanta Falcons still had a practice as they prepare to go on the road to face the Kansas City Chiefs. The Falcons have been dealing with several injuries of late, such as Julio Jones who has been missing from action for what feels like several weeks and Alex Mack who dealing with a concussion.
The team released its official practice report for Thursday, giving us insight into where certain players stand health-wise.
FULL PARTICIPATION
- CB Blidi Wreh-Wilson (illness)
- TE Jaeden Graham (neck)
- DE Jacob Tuioti-Mariner (elbow)
- S Ricardo Allen (concussion)
- DE Steven Means (hand)
LIMITED PARTICIPATION
- S Keanu Neal (hamstring)
- LB Deion Jones (toe)
- DT Marlon Davidson (knee)
- WR Brandon Powell (foot)
NO PARTICIPATION
- WR Julio Jones (hamstring)
- CB Darqueze Dennard (quad)
- C Alex Mack (concussion)
- G James Carpenter (groin)
The only real changes between Wednesday’s practice report and Thursday’s is that Ricardo Allen and Steven Means have both returned to full participation and Brandon Powell is dealing with a foot injury. Thursday typically gives us the best insight into which direction particular players a statuses are trending, and this doesn’t bode well for Alex Mack as a concussion is difficult to predict. I’d say as of now Mack will likely be out, and that would likely mean rookie Matt Hennessy would get his first start at center. We’ll know more on Friday’s practice report as we get injury designations before the team travel’s to Kansas City.
