If the Falcons pull off this upset, it’ll be in the same neighborhood as the time they flipped the table over on the undefeated Panthers or surprised the 49ers a year ago, just a shocking win virtually nobody expected. Given where this Falcons team is right now and where the Chiefs are, with all their motivation to lock up the #1 seed, my expectations for the upset could not be lower. They’re likely to lose and lose badly, especially since this is on the road.
Here’s how you can watch one of the team’s final two weeks.
Atlanta Falcons at Kansas City Chiefs, Week 16
When: Sunday, December 27, 1 p.m. EST
Where: Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City, Missouri
Announcers: Kevin Burkhardt, Daryl Johnston, Pam Oliver
Radio: 92.9 The Game
Key Questions: Will Julio Jones play? Is this going to be a lopsided defeat or a close one? Can the Falcons hold Patrick Mahomes under 300 yards and 3 touchdowns?
Prediction: I believe in this team’s ability to keep things close despite the odds, just don’t see how this Falcons team can reasonably be expected to keep this close without their very best effort, and even then the Chiefs are good enough to not let them hang around. Chiefs 38 - Falcons 27
