Starting left guard for the Falcons James Carpenter left the Week 15 matchup against Tampa Bay with a groin injury. This is an aggravation to an injury which has limited Carpenter in recent weeks.
Carpenter was inactive in the previous two games with this same injury. This week marked his return, but he did could not finish out the matchup unscathed.

26 Isaiah Oliver is cramping and is questionable to return.
Carpenter has not been spectacular by any means this year but he has been serviceable in what has been a bit of a bounceback season. He has earned a 57.1 PFF overall grade this year, which is an improvement over him disastrous 45.3 grade in 2019.
It now becomes a question as to whether or not Carpenter will be able to suit up next week against the Kansas City Chiefs, and in the season finale rematch against this same Bucs team. Stick with the Falcoholic for updates regarding this situation as well as all other injury news.
Justin McCray will likely once again suit up in relief of Carpenter if he can’t play next week.
