It is Friday already which means it is time for the very important Friday practice report. The Atlanta Falcons are preparing to host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who they will face twice in the next three weeks. The team has been dealing with some injuries, including Julio Jones and Ricardo Allen who have not practiced all week.

The team released its official practice report for Friday, giving us insight into where certain players stand health-wise.

FULL PARTICIPATION

  • FB Keith Smith (neck)
  • LB Mykal Walker (shoulder)

LIMITED PARTICIPATION

  • WR Calvin Ridley (foot)
  • DE Steven Means (hand)
  • G James Carpenter (groin) QUESTIONABLE
  • DE Jacob Tuioti-Mariner (elbow)
  • DT Grady Jarrett (groin)

NO PARTICIPATION

  • WR Julio Jones (hamstring) OUT
  • DT Marlon Davidson (knee) OUT
  • CB Darqueze Dennard (quad) OUT
  • S Ricardo Allen (concussion) OUT
  • T Kaleb McGary (personal matter) QUESTIONABLE
  • RB Todd Gurley (rest)

As you can see from Friday’s practice report, several key players were absent and ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Buccaneers. Julio Jones continues to miss games with a nagging hamstring injury, which has only allowed him to play in nine games this year.

Kaleb McGary has missed last week’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers as he dealt with a personal matter which has also kept him from practicing all week. He is listed as questionable for Sunday and we hope the best for McGary in whatever personal matter he is dealing with.

Limited in practice Friday, it appears left guard James Carpenter has a chance to return to action on Sunday, as he has been battling a groin injury.
