We’re only a few days away from the Atlanta Falcons week 15 matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In Wednesday’s practice, the team was without several key starters such as Julio Jones and Kaleb McGary. On Thursday the case wouldn’t be any different, as both remain absent from the practice field.
The team released its official practice report for Thursday, giving us insight into where certain players stand health-wise.
FULL PARTICIPATION
- FB Keith Smith (neck)
- LB Mykal Walker (shoulder)
LIMITED PARTICIPATION
- WR Calvin Ridley (foot)
- DE Steven Means (hand)
- G James Carpenter (groin)
- DE Jacob Tuioti-Mariner (elbow)
- DT Grady Jarrett (groin)
NO PARTICIPATION
- WR Julio Jones (hamstring)
- DT Marlon Davidson (knee)
- CB Darqueze Dennard (quad)
- S Ricardo Allen (concussion)
- T Kaleb McGary (personal matter)
- C Alex Mack (rest)
One of the major changes between Wednesday and Thursday’s practice reports is defensive tackle Marlon Davidson has gone from being limited to a non-participant in practice. Davidson is dealing with a knee injury which he sustained last Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers. This designation would seem to indicate that he won’t be going Sunday.
Julio Jones remains out with a hamstring injury that has lingered for most of the season. Kaleb McGary has been away due to a personal matter which kept him from playing last week. We’ll get an ever better idea and some injury designations for Sunday’s game on Friday’s very important practice report, but the Falcons will once again need to play without some key players against the Bucs if this continues.
