We’re closing in on the end of the 2020 NFL season, which means we have a limited number of opportunities to enjoy Thursday Night Football in all its weird glory. This week brings the Chargers on a short week against the Raiders, featuring a team the Falcons shouldn’t have beaten but thumped and a team they should’ve beaten but didn’t.
I have no idea whether this will be a good game or not—the short week for the Chargers, divisional intrigue, and these two teams’ respective weaknesses suggest it won’t be—but it ought to be an interesting one given the way these teams have tended to screw up. Justin Herbert should be able to pass all over a hapless Raiders secondary, while the Raiders should be able to take advantage of Los Angeles’s weak special teams and run defense with Josh Jacobs returning.
Use this as your open thread for the game ahead.
