It’s time! The Falcons had 10 days off after beating the Carolina Panthers, time enough to rest up a little, get a handful of key players back, and hopefully put on a solid showing against the Denver Broncos.
This team will be without their top two defensive ends in Takk McKinley and Dante Fowler Jr., meaning 3 of their 13 sacks and 25 of their 76 pressures on the season won’t be suiting up. The interior of the Denver offensive line is susceptible and Grady Jarrett, John Cominsky, and Marlon Davidson will all be suiting up, and Steven Means, Allen Bailey and Charles Harris have not been slouches at defensive end. Pair that with the return of Darqueze Dennard and a pretty healthy Falcons offense and we’ll hope for good things.
Here’s the key info for the game, and please use this as your open thread for the day. Go Falcons!
Atlanta Falcons vs. Denver Broncos, Week 9
When: Sunday, November 8, 1 p.m EST
Where: Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta, Georgia
Channel: CBS
Announcers: Greg Gumbel, Rich Gannon, Jay Feely
Streaming: Falcons app
Radio: 92.9 The Game
Key Questions: Can the Falcons take advantage of a so-so Broncos defense to uncork the offense, similar to the way they did against Minnesota three weeks back? Will they be able to hold a quality set of weapons in check and get the pressure on Drew Lock they need in order to slow this offense to a grind? Will Takk McKinley tweet something dramatic during the game itself?
Prediction: The Falcons have basically refused to do what I think they will do all year long, but I’m going to say this is the most winnable game and they ought to win it. Falcons 31 - Broncos 21
