The Falcons have struggled in the secondary all year, but things are looking up a bit. Keanu Neal is rolling at safety, Isaiah Oliver is playing a bit better in the slot, and a healthy A.J. Terrell is a force to be reckoned with. Against a lackluster Broncos passing attack, Atlanta’s getting yet another boost.
Darqueze Dennard is now back on the 53 man roster after a stint on injured reserve, bolstering the cornerback corps. Dennard was rounding into form against the Bears when he got hurt, and if he’s feeling anywhere near 100% he’ll step right into a starting job and help out against Denver and (of course) in the coming weeks, with Isaiah Oliver likely getting bumped down to top reserve status.
We have activated Darqueze Dennard to the 53-man roster and placed Jordan Miller on Injured Reserve.

We have flexed Edmond Robinson and Pita Taumoepenu to the active roster.

To make room for Dennard, Jordan Miller has been placed on injured reserve. Miller remains a player I’m interested in seeing more of, given his fine college career, but between his suspension and this there’s a good chance we won’t see much of him in 2020.
In addition, the Falcons flexed two practice squad players on to the active roster for the week. Edmond Robinson has been a favorite of this coaching staff for his fine work on special teams and ability to fill in at linebacker in a pinch, while Taumoepenu will try to bring some pass rushing juice to a defensive end group that is pretty decimated by injuries to Takk McKinley and Dante Fowler Jr.
Welcome Dennard back, and we’ll hope he has a great game Sunday.
