Watch the vengeful Packers against the skeleton crew 49ers on Thursday Night Football

At full strength, the 49ers are a fair matchup for the Packers. That’s because despite Jimmy G increasingly looking like a very handsome Matt Cassel, Kyle Shanahan is an excellent offensive coach and San Francisco retains a strong defense even after losing some pieces in the offseason.

These 49ers are nowhere near full strength, though, as they’re down Jimmy G and George Kittle and an ever-growing list of useful players. That means a Packers team that just got spanked by the Vikings and will be out for a win is going to face less than a challenging 49ers team, which could turn this Thursday Night Football matchup into a bloodbath.

Heck, though, we’ve got to watch to find out. As always, feel free to use this as your open thread for the game ahead, and we’ll see if we can at least get an entertaining game out of this week’s matchup.
