Olamide Zaccheaus is having a game of some intense ups and downs. He first dropped a sure touchdown catch forcing the Falcons to kick for three points. He bounced back with a critical third down catch but was then unusually slow to get up.
It was difficult to determine the injury. Zaccheaus caught he ball and tried unsuccessfully slipping past the defender. The defender hit him around the middle of his back on the way to the ground, and Zaccheaus was then very slow to get up. Trainers escorted him off of the field but he did not need any assistance and did not appear to be limping.
Zaccheaus immediately went to the blue medical tent for further inspection by trainers. The injury did not appear serious.
The Falcons announced in the second quarter that Zaccheaus had a toe injury and was questionable to return. The Falcons are down to only Russell Gage, Christian Blake, Brandon Powell, and Calvin Ridley at wide receiver.
Update: Zaccheaus has been ruled out for the remainder of the game.
