The time for waiting is over. The Atlanta Falcons get a Taysom Hill/Jameis Winston-led New Orleans Saints team in a continuation of the best rivalry in football. As I get older the run-up to the game becomes harder to endure because I just want to see the Falcons beat the Saints so badly, even if recent history suggests that’s not the likeliest outcome.
You don’t need the preamble because you know the score, though, so use this as your open thread for the game and go Falcons!
Atlanta Falcons vs. New Orleans Saints
When: Sunday, November 22, 1 p.m EST
Where: Mercedes-Benz Superdome New Orleans, Louisiana
Channel: FOX
Announcers: Kevin Burkhardt, Daryl Johnston, Pam Oliver
Streaming: FOXSportsGOo
Radio: 92.9 The Game
Key Questions: Will Jameis Winston be a Falcon killer as the starter for the Saints like he often was for the Buccaneers? Are the Saints going to be healthy enough to be close to full strength? Will the Falcons have Calvin Ridley back? Is Atlanta as capable of playing a close, competitive game as they have been against lesser lights in recent weeks?
Prediction: Am I buying into a second straight year with a post-bye victory over the Saints? Yes. Does that make me an impossible homer or a simple Saints hater? Possibly, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Falcons 34 - Saints 31
