There’s been a lot of changes over the last two weeks as the Falcons improved to 3-6 after defeating the Denver Broncos and then enjoyed a bye week. A familiar face to the practice report, Takk McKinley, is no longer on the team after being released. Also, Dante Fowler Jr. is now on the reserve/COVID-19 list. This week the Falcons will prepare for their biggest rival, the New Orleans Saints.

The team released its official practice report for Wednesday, giving us insight into where certain players stand health-wise.

FULL PARTICIPATION

  • T Kaleb McGary (knee)

LIMITED PARTICIPATION

NO PARTICIPATION

  • T Matt Gono (illness)

If you’ve been following along with the practice reports we share throughout the season, this is definitely the least crowded we’ve seen in 2020. Calvin Ridley has been dealing with a foot injury which he sustained against the Carolina Panthers in week 8, which has caused him to miss a few games. Seeing that he had a bye week and is limited in practice this early into the week, it’s a great sign for his availability for Sunday. Matt Gono was the only Falcons’ player not participating on Wednesday as he deals with an illness.

On the Saints side of things, it appears Drew Brees will miss the game due to cracked ribs and a punctured lung. Falcons will likely face Jameis Winston against New Orleans.
