Fact: A.J. Terrell can juggle with his eyes closed

Happy Wednesday, Falcoholics! We are now only 4 days away from the Falcons’ Week 11 matchup against the Saints. Now that we know Sean Payton has no concern for Drew Brees’ physical well-being, absolutely nothing has changed. Even if Brees won’t be under center for the Saints on Sunday, they will still be competitive. And let’s be honest, because these are the Atlanta Falcons we’re talking about, Jameis Winston breaking out with a big day and leading the Saints to victory isn’t a farfetched outcome.

We serve our links with a variety of dipping sauces.

A.J. Terrell is, at least according to Pro Football Focus, the NFL’s highest rated rookie cornerback. PFF ratings don’t win playoff games, but Terrell meeting and exceeding expectations is just a fantastic outcome. The Falcons had to take a big swing in Round 1 of the draft, and it looks like they made the right choice.

Eric Robinson’s series highlighting potential head coach candidates continued with a profile of Bill offensive coordinator Brian Daboll. As head coach mentors, Daboll has had some of the best in Bill Belichick and Nick Saban.

Takk McKinley landed with the Bengals last week. But we learned yesterday that he was waived by the Bengals due to a failed physical. There’s a decent possibility he isn’t picked up by another team before the end of the year. We can only speculate about circumstances underlying his departure from Atlanta, but this has to be his worst case scenario.

The Falcons put Laquan Treadwell on their reserve/Covid-19 list and added a linebacker to their practice squad. If you forgot Treadwell played for the Falcons, well, that’d he understandable, but we certainly hope he is OK.

Dave Choate gave us a list of defensive players that must make the best of the remaining games and Kevin Knight took a closer look at some cornerback prospects the Falcons zero in on in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Seize the day, Falcoholics. Seize the day.
