Falcons - Panthers on deck
The Panthers are a somewhat surprising 2-2, and the Falcons continue to limp along in the basement at 0-4. Both teams possess potent offensive weapons, but both teams are also particularly banged up. With the Falcons’ defense not able to stop particularly anyone in 2020, how will they fare against a Panthers’ offense without otherworldly running back Christian McCaffrey?
In any case, they may have A.J. Terrell back at corner, as he’s been cleared to return to meetings and could return from the Reserve/COVID-19 list prior to Sunday’s game.
Courtesy of homefield advantage, the Falcons enter this one as slight favorites — although it’s impossible to envision thinking the Falcons are favorites at anything at the moment.
And on a lighter note, we stroll down memory lane with some of our favorite Falcons-Panthers moments. That 300-yard Julio Jones game has to to be one of ‘em.
Safety Jamal Carter cut
Jamal Carter was forced into action against the Packers, and it’s evident the Falcons weren’t pleased with his play as he was released Wednesday afternoon.
Fantasy stud and dud

Drafting a quarterback?
In all likelihood the Falcons will be drafting fairly high in the 2021 NFL Draft. While Matt Ryan is still a very good quarterback, with the team likely under a new regime, could Atlanta elect to expend their first pick on a QB?
Following the Brett Favre/Aaron Rodgers template, it’s never too soon to begin preparing for the future. As we’re heading into an uncertain time for this franchise, it’s worth considering that an early-round quarterback could be in the cards.
