UPDATE: Another delay has been announced for the Monday Night Football game between the Falcons and Packers. The game has been pushed back 10 minutes, and will now kick off at 9:00 PM ET, instead of the previous time of 8:50 PM ET. Our original article is below.

The Falcons and Packers game was set to kick off at 8:15 p.m. tomorrow night, and everyone was bracing for Atlanta’s attempt at a first win in four games against a very good Green Bay squad. We’re still bracing for that, but unfortunately we’re going to be up even later watching it.

With Chiefs-Patriots getting moved from Sunday to Monday due to positive COVID-19 tests for Cam Newton and Jordan Ta’amu, they’re now kicking off just after 7 p.m. and the Falcons and Packers are moving back nearly 40 minutes.

The fact that the established game has to move back is making me grind my teeth, but I’m not shocked that the league is more concerned with getting the Patriots and Chiefs in front of the primetime audience given that both teams have been great this year and the Falcons...have not. This likely won’t change anything for Falcons - Packers besides being an annoyingly late game for them, but obviously for fans who want to watch the game it’s frustrating that we’re all going to be awake well past midnight.

Brew an extra pot of coffee, folks, You might need it.
