The Falcons shocked many by pulling an upset on the road against the Carolina Panthers. With things looking good (not great) for the Falcons, there was some concern Calvin Ridley’s injury could take him out for an extended period.
In the second quarter, Ridley’s feet got tangled up during a low tackle and he immediately left the field. He was shown limping off the field and heading to the locker room, and quickly went from questionable to out designations.
Should we be worried about the electric WR2? Per Ian Rapoport, the early indications are good.
X-Rays were negative last night on Calvin Ridley’s foot, I’m told, which added some optimism. But he’ll have an MRI to determine his next few weeks https://t.co/TcK3VuUtRj

An update this afternoon from Rapoport was even more positive, with the declaration that Ridley is considered day-to-day and could be back for Week 9 after the long week layoff following the Thursday night game.
Ridley has exploded this season, tied for third in touchdowns and in third in receiving yardage in the NFL. He has 657 yards, 43 receptions, and 6 touchdowns at the half-way mark through the season. Having him back will ensure the passing game keeps humming for Atlanta.
