Editor’s note: We swear we picked these before the game. We swear.
Hey Falcoholics! Week 8 is now upon us and the Atlanta Falcons are 1-6, staring 1-7 in the face as they face the Carolina Panthers on the road.
The Falcoholic staff have made their picks via Tallysight, where all of our picks and predictions will be shared throughout the season. It’s a great platform for not only making predictions, but also seeing how you stack up against professional sports writers and analysts.
Here are the Week 8 staff picks:
Will the Falcons be victorious on Thursday night? Possibly. Our staff at large isn’t very confident in the Falcons to pull the upset and prevent the seasonal sweep by the Panthers. Our Matt Chambers predicted that the Panthers would win:
“The Falcons really have to show something for me to believe in them. They flashed against a few teams, and put together only one full game against Minnesota. Looking at the remainder of the season, how many of these appear to be wins? If the new coaching staff can’t get it done against the Lions, I really can’t expect them to be competitive, let alone win, against Carolina.”
We’ll see if the Falcons shock the world, but it’s difficult to put faith in them right now. Even when they should win, they seem to find a way to blow it in the end.
