The Falcons somehow pulled off the impossible tonight. Despite playing on the road in bad conditions and making some regrettable mental errors, they somehow walked away with the win. We’ll have plenty to say about how it all played out in the days ahead, but the Falcons are officially 2-6 at the halfway point of their season.

But alas, there were some injuries tonight. Let’s summarize them and break ‘em down.

Kendall Sheffield suffered a head injury on the Falcons’ first defensive play of the game. Keanu Neal was attempted to break up a pass and Sheffield became the collateral damage.

Calvin Ridley suffered an ankle injury during the second quarter, and the Falcons initially hit him with a questionable designation. Ridley caught a Matt Ryan pass and appeared to tweak the ankle while being tackled by the defender. Ridley limped into the locker room shortly before halftime and the Falcons ruled him out early in the second half. Ridley has had a great year, so let’s hope he bounces back quickly. I won’t be surprised if the Falcons just decided to err on the side of caution, given the persistent rain throughout the game.
