The Atlanta Falcons have released their practice report for Saturday, giving us insight into who the team will likely be without on Monday Night Football against the Green Bay Packers. Normally this very important injury report occurs on Friday, but with a Monday night game, it shifted to Saturday.

There’s still a lot of uncertainty in terms of a few players and their status for Monday. Currently, it is known that the Falcons will be without both starting safeties Keanu Neal and Ricardo Allen, kicker Younghoe Koo and defensive end Takk McKinley. Huge blows to a defense that was already struggling.

Here is the Falcons Saturday, Oct. 3 practice report, per the team:

FULL PARTICIPATION

  • T Matt Gono (shoulder)
  • S Kendall Sheffield (foot)
  • DE Jacob Tuioti-Mariner (elbow)
  • WR Russell Gage (concussion)

LIMITED PARTICIPATION

  • LB Foye Oluokun (hamstring)
  • WR Julio Jones (hamstring) QUESTIONABLE
  • T Kaleb McGary (knee)
  • WR Calvin Ridley (ankle) QUESTIONABLE
  • DE Dante Fowler Jr. (ankle)
  • DT Grady Jarrett (hip)
  • DT Marlon Davidson (knee)

DID NOT PARTICIPATE

  • S Ricardo Allen (elbow) OUT
  • K Younghoe Koo (groin) OUT
  • S Keanu Neal (hamstring) OUT
  • DE Takk McKinley (groin) OUT
  • RB Todd Gurley (rest)
  • OL James Cartpenter (rest)

If you’re concerned, you should be. Having your best edge rusher and both starting safeties out is rarely a recipe for success, especially when up against the top scoring offense in the league. There still remain a lot of unknowns as well. The team signed kicker Elliott Fry who has never kicked in an NFL regular season game to fill in for Koo while he’s out. Jones and Ridley are both questionable, which seems okay considering they participated in practice on a limited basis, but Jones was questionable last week as well and went on to miss the Chicago Bears game. Something to definitely monitor leading up to Monday night.

Here is the Packers Saturday, Oct. 3 practice report, per the team:

  • RB Tyler Ervin (wrist) QUESTIONABLE
  • OL Elgton Jenkins (back/rib)
  • QB Jordan Love (illness)
  • LB Randy Ramsey (groin)
