Falcons injury report: 5 players estimated to be limited on Monday

The Falcons look pretty healthy on paper leading up to the Thursday Night Football game.

On Sunday, the Atlanta Falcons lost another game in embarrassing fashion, this time against the Detroit Lions. Although they lost, the team didn’t really sustain any injuries and those that left the game, such as wide receiver Russell Gage, eventually returned to the field.

This week, the Falcons will travel to Charlotte to take on the Carolina Panthers on Thursday Night Football. Because of this, the practice schedule this week will be altered. On Monday the team didn’t practice, but released an estimated practice report giving us insight into where certain players stand health-wise.

FULL PARTICIPATION

  • n/a

LIMITED PARTICIPATION

  • WR Russell Gage (knee)
  • WR Julio Jones (hip)
  • DE Takk McKinley (groin)
  • C Alex Mack (knee)
  • T Kaleb McGary (elbow)

NO PARTICIPATION

Although it’s only an estimation, it’s good to see that the team didn’t expect to have anyone held out of practice, had a practice taken place on Monday. The only real addition to the report is Mack who normally gets rest late in the week, but sustained a knee injury against the Lions. Not appearing on the report is news that rookie defensive tackle Marlon Davidson has been activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list. We’ll have a better idea tomorrow for the team’s Tuesday practice on where certain players’ health is trending for Thursday’s divisional game.
