You’ve heard the doom and gloom all week from us and you’re not quite done hearing it yet, because we have to give our predictions for the game and what we’re most worried about. That’s the nature of the beast when your favorite team is 0-3 and facing a team on a historic scoring pace, and you wouldn’t want us to pretend otherwise.
That said, we’re getting closer to the actual game, which we hope will be an enjoyable watch if nothing else. Until the Falcons are truly dead and buried, it’s worth watching to see if the talent on hand and the coaching that was supposed to be can actually come together, and even if they don’t make it there it’ll be worth watching to see who might be part of the next quality Falcons team. The team’s recent success against the Packers and their habit of rebounding at the exact moment you give them up for dead are at least somewhat compelling.
Here’s how you can watch. We’d recommend coffee for the first half and something stronger for the second half.
Atlanta Falcons @ Green Bay Packers, Week 4
When: Monday, October 5, 8:15 p.m. EST
Where: Lambeau Field, Green Bay, Wisconsin
Channel: ESPN
Announcers: Louis Riddick, Steve Levy, Brian Griese
Streaming: ESPN.com or the ESPN app
Radio: 92.9 The Game
Key Questions: How healthy will this Falcons team be, given that they need all hands on deck for this one? Can the Falcons passing attack get back on track and be elite, which is the only way I can see this game ending in a win for Atlanta? Is this team capable of snagging the kind of backbreaking turnovers that have gotten them past Rodgers in the recent past?
Prediction: All three games thus far have seemed winnable, but the Falcons blew it. Not doing that to myself again, which will probably engineer a win in and of itself. Packers 35 - Falcons 27
