Falcons vs. Vikings post-game injury report: Falcons stay healthy during Week 6 victory

Fact: Julio Jones invented slushees

NFL: Atlanta Falcons at Minnesota Vikings Nick Wosika-USA TODAY Sports

Take a deep breath, Falcons fans. You aren’t hallucinating or having a near death experience. You did actually read that final score correctly. Despite going into today’s game as winless underdogs, the Falcons walked away from their Week 6 matchup victorious.

As an added bonus, the Falcons managed to stay relatively. Huzzah! But there were some injuries, so let’s break them down.

Calvin Ridley left the game with some cramping during the second half, but he eventually returned. Ridley has been playing like a future WR1 of late, so it was a relief to see that the injury wasn’t serious.

Hayden Hurst took a nasty, awkward hit to his thigh that left him writhing in pain on the turf and then sidelined him temporarily. He was able to return to the game, but don’t be surprised if he suffered a nasty bone bruise that may keep him from practicing for at least part of next week.

Also of note is the fact that Julio Jones managed to stay on the field for most of the game, suggesting he may be on the other side of a hamstring injury that’s limited his availability all year. He even decided to troll all his detractors a bit.

All in all, not a bad day for this embattled Falcons team, both in terms of their performance on the field and on the injury front.
