A coaching candidate who WILL be a head coach in 2021 and no teardown (right now) is necessary

That would be Mike McDaniel of the 49ers. Why McDaniel and not Eric Bienemy? Because McDaniel IS an integral part of the 49ers offense, so much so that Shanahan blocked him from interviewing with other teams for their offensive coordinator position. He is known as a master of all running games and the evidence is the 49ers success with him as run game coordinator. McDaniel has 12 years experience in the Shanahan system and should have been one of the finalists to assume the position vacated by Shanahan back in 2017.

The plus side is that Ryan would not have to learn another offense and McDaniel would certainly pilfer someone from Robert Saleh's defense. McDaniel is the next Sean McVay-type in my opinion, not Bienemy who is more akin to the successful-by-proximity Dan Quinn. There is no evidence of proof for him but there most certainly is for McDaniel. Offensive mind, relatively young, a master of the run game, runs the system already in place, knows Ryan and has worked with him....the pluses are myriad.

Arthur Blank in 78 years old; this hire would prevent a 4-5 year rebuild and could not only allow for a successor to Ryan but for him to make a run possibly for a championship over the next 3-4 years. Hire McDaniel and we may see the same turnaround that the Browns have seen with (who should have been our coach after 2019) Kevin Stefanski
