NFL: Carolina Panthers at Atlanta Falcons Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

The Falcons finally pulled the trigger on something that arguably should have been done at the end of 2019. The firing of head coach Dan Quinn and general manager Thomas Dimitroff were nearly inevitable after the team fell to 0-5 on Sunday. Yet, both men have left an indelible mark on the franchise.

Dave Choate and Jeanna Kelley joined me on the podcast to talk about these two men, the firing and what it means for the team going forward. Topics include:

  • Whether the firing was surprising and if it was the right move
  • What it may means for veterans like Matt Ryan and Julio Jones
  • The biggest flaw that may have ultimately doomed both men
  • Some names to consider for the next Falcons head coach
