The Falcons have a longer week with the game against Green Bay on Monday night, so we have a few extra days to prepare for disappointment.
Read on for Thursday’s edition of Falcoholinks.
Falcons - Packers preview
The Falcons head to The Great White North on Monday night for a primetime matchup with the undefeated Green Bay Packers, a game that will absolutely bury Atlanta’s season should they lose it.
Unsurprisingly, the Falcons are 7.5-point underdogs after their pair of collapses in consecutive weeks.
Time to get creative
The injuries have piled up on Atlanta’s offense, and in order to keep the ball moving down the field, Dirk Koetter has to get more creative to get the likes of Hayden Hurst and Todd Gurley more involved in the passing game.
It’s inexplicable that Hayden Hurst, whom the Falcons expended a second-round pick to bring in, only has 9 catches on 16 targets through three games.
Safety T.J. Green signed to practice squad
With the rash of injuries to the secondary, the Falcons have signed former New Orleans Saints safety T.J. Green to their practice squad. Green has bounced around the NFL, but with the injuries mounting he has a shot to be assigned to the active roster.
Dan Quinn consumed by The Great Metal Falcon
The Falcons are 0-3, so naturally the sacrifices have returned. For his inability to properly secure leads and The Great Metal Falcon’s cage, coach Quinn found himself the subject of Arthur Blank’s ire.
