Welcome to Tuesday, Falcoholics! We’re in the middle of that incredibly awkward time of year where everyone is simultaneously missing Christmas and realizing there’s no way they’ll ever stick to their New Year’s resolutions. Some people refer to it as “January.”

What do our links smell like? To be frank, like a combination of burned chicken, cheap whiskey, and regret.

The Saints aren’t good at football

The Saints were knocked out of the playoffs two days ago but we can’t get enough of their collective misery. 3rd string quarterback Kurt Benkert isn’t afraid to pick a fight on Twitter, particularly if you’re a Saints fan of below average intelligence.

The Saints are making this choking thing an annual tradition. Let’s celebrate.

The Falcons roster going forward

It’s time to start thinking through the potential personnel moves the Falcons might make during the offseason. Along those lines, the Falcons have a real problem at left guard, and regrettably, there aren’t many viable solutions.

The running back corps is in an interesting place. Because Dirk Koetter isn’t good at his job, it’s tough to lay too much blame at the feet of guys like Devonta Freeman and Brian Hill. That said, this is the NFL, and players are held accountable for their production. Freeman, Hill, Qadree Ollison, and Kenjon Barner are no exception.

This and that

The Cowboys are taking an interesting approach to their offseason. They hired Mike McCarthy as their new head coach yesterday. McCarthy announced that his defensive coordinator will be Falcons alumnus Mike Nolan. Good luck with that, Mike. (Both of you.)
