The Saints suffered yet another crushing, debilitating, and shocking playoff loss on Sunday. Sean Payton coached the first team in NFL history to finish the regular season 13-3 and fail to advance past the Wild Card round, wrapping up yet another heartbreaking postseason loss.
It was glorious.
Falcons backup quarterback Kurt Benkert went down with a totally normal injury during preseason and missed the 2019 regular season. He has been active on Twitter through rehab, including this Tweet on January 1st, which drew the ire of the Saints fanbase.

Overlooking the fact that buying a child a Drew Brees jersey may be a form of child abuse, Saints fans wanted to let Benkert know the Saints were in the playoffs.

This was a bold move by this Saints fan considering what late-season Drew Brees looks like and the team’s tendency to continually choke in the playoffs in the last decade. As we now know, it only took a few days for these tweets age poorly.
