The Falcoholic staff’s NFL picks for Falcons vs. Vikings and the rest of Week 1

It’s time, Falcoholics. The 2019 season finally kicks off this evening when the Packers take on the Bears at Soldier Field, and our staff is here to tell you which team we think will winon Thursday night.

That’s not all, though. This season, we’re picking the entire slate of games and presenting them in a cool graphic from our own Evan Birchfield.

As you can see, everyone but Allen and Matt is rolling with the Falcons against the Vikings this week. It won’t be an easy road. There’s still uncertainty about who will start at right tackle and left guard, and that’s not encouraging against a defensive front like Minnesota’s. But Atlanta’s defense is fully healthy, and the Falcons’ offensive skill position players can hold their own against anyone in this league.

Our special guest picker this season, my chihuahua-Jack Russell mix Baxter Thomas, is also taking the Falcons on the road in Minneapolis. Full disclosure: He did get to eat the other treat, also, after he made his official selection.

As you can see, we’re all in agreement on the Rams over the Panthers, the Browns over the Titans, and a bunch of other games. We’ll see if that works out for us this week or if we all end up taking a bunch of L’s.
