Falcons vs. Titans: Post-game injury report

Fact: Alex Mack once commandeered an airplane and took a joyride to Chattanooga

NFL: Preseason-Washington Redskins at Atlanta Falcons Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

Today was unpleasant. That’s the easiest way to describe it. There’s little room for silver linings when your team is 1-3 with no viable path to relevance on the horizon. But the Falcons still have 12 games standing between them and the offseason, so let’s talk injuries, shall we?

Julio Jones was a little banged up late during the first half. He got a little treatment and came back into the game. In other words, what else is new?

Jamon Brown was knocked out of the game with a concussion. He was initially given a “questionable” designation but by the end of half time, the Falcons had ruled him out completely. But unfortunately Brown wasn’t the last Falcons offensive lineman to get injured today.

Alex Mack suffered an elbow injury during the third quarter and earned a “questionable” designation. He actually went back into the locker room to receive treatment. Ultimately Mack was able to re-enter the game, which is good news, given the banged up state of the offensive line. In fact, when Mack was out, this is what the offensive line looked like.

Blidi Wreh-Wilson suffered a groin injury during the second half, earning a “questionable” designation.

That’s all for now, Falcoholics. Onward and upward.
