Hello, friends. Let’s talk about fan confidence again, even if you don’t really want to!
The good news is that Falcons fans and Titans fans alike are in some pretty dark places. The bad news is that they have good reason to be in those dark places.
Let’s start with Titans fans, who felt great after a Week 1 blowout against the Browns but have quickly lost faith in their favorite team. Just 19% feel good about the direction of the team, and presumably every one of those fans is either in Keith Byard’s family or have Derrick Henry in fantasy. With lousy QB play and two ugly losses in the last two weeks, it’s hard to argue with the idea that confidence should be hard to come by.

Of course, you never bring depression and fear to a fight with the Falcons fanbase. Fan confidence among those polled in Atlanta turned up the single lowest fan confidence level since we started doing this, a robust 8%. That’s tied for the lowest percentage in the entire NFL, and reflects the general dissatisfaction with the job the Falcons are doing. Wins will help with that, but I think the skepticism is pretty deeply baked in at this point.
