Falcons DE Takk McKinley is questionable to return vs. Colts with a knee injury

And the hits keep on coming.

NFL: Arizona Cardinals at Atlanta Falcons Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

Apparently it’s not enough that the Falcons aren’t playing their best football and that Keanu Neal is likely done for the season again with an Achilles injury. Now Takk McKinley has also left the game and is questionable to return with a knee injury.

McKinley is fresh off of a seven-sack season in 2018. He’s got five tackles — four solos, one assist — over the first two games this season. Two of those were tackles behind the line of scrimmage for a total loss of three yards.

The injury occurred on a play that resulted in a tandem McKinley and Vic Beasley sack on Jacoby Brissett. McKinley was able to walk off the field under his own power, so hopefully it’s not a serious injury and he’ll be able to return, if not this week, then soon. McKinley had one tackle and that half-sack prior to leaving the game.

We’ll update this story as more information becomes available.
