The Falcoholic staff’s picks for Falcons vs. Colts and the rest of Week 3’s NFL games

The Falcons pleasantly surprised us in Week 2 against the Eagles after falling flat the previous week in Minnesota. This week the Falcons travel to Indianapolis to take on the Colts, and our staff universally is predicting a Falcons win in Week 3.

Last week we weren’t so optimistic. Everyone but Cory, DW, Evan, and Kevin went with the Eagles, but the Falcons managed to pull off a close one, winning 24-20. We were all completely wrong about the Panthers, who lost to the Buccaneers as Cam Newton fought through injuries. Everyone but James nailed it last week picking the Rams over the Saints. James, that’s what you get for picking the Saints.

This week, we’re all big believers that the Falcons get it done on the road against the Colts. Dave is the lone voice for a Ravens win over the Chiefs in Arrowhead. That one could go either way, but I gave the Chiefs the edge because of home field advantage. We’re all taking Dallas over the aggressively tanking Dolphins, and we’re all taking the Seahawks at home over the Drew Brees-less Saints.

Here’s our staff’s picks for this week.

As you can see in this badass graphic created by our own Evan Birchfield, Matt and Kevin are all tied up at 23-8-1. At least it’s not 28-3-1, right? James is bringing up the rear at 17-14-1, but again, that’s what he gets for picking the Saints last week.

My dog, Baxter Thomas, has picked the Falcons in each of the first two weeks of the season. It wasn’t an easy choice for him this time around, as you can see below, but he picked the Colts this week.
