Falcons vs. Colts injury report: Matt Bosher, Kenjon Barner, and Kaleb McGary held out of Wednesday’s practice

We’ll see how they progress on Thursday and Friday.

NFL: Preseason-Atlanta Falcons at Jacksonville Jaguars Reinhold Matay-USA TODAY Sports

It’s probably not a surprise following the Falcons’ decision to sign punter Matt Wile on Tuesday, but Matt Bosher was held out of Wednesday’s practice completely.

Bosher, who is working through a groin injury, was on the Did Not Participate list alongside running back/return specialist Kenjon Barner and tackle Kaleb McGary. Barner has an ankle injury. McGary suffered a knee injury in Sunday’s win over the Eagles. It looked very bad at the time, but the rookie was somehow able to re-enter the game and continue to play.

Another name to keep an eye on this week is Keanu Neal. The hard-hitting safety was limited on Wednesday with a groin injury. In light of McGary’s status on Wednesday, it is encouraging that tackle Matt Gono was just limited on Wednesday. Luke Stocker joined Neal and McGary with limited participation.

For the Colts, we’ll want to monitor the status of linebacker Darius Leonard, who is in the concussion protocol and did not practice on Wednesday. Wide receiver T.Y. Hilton was limited with a quad injury, and quarterback Jacoby Brissett participated fully, but is dealing with a knee injury.

Here’s the complete injury report for Wednesday, Sept. 18.
