Falcons vs. Colts odds: Atlanta once again the underdogs in Week 3 matchup in Indianapolis

The Falcons will take on the Colts in Indianapolis this Sunday. The match up will feature two 1-1 teams looking to maintain some momentum during the first month of the season. It’s not a must-win game for either team, but it’s certainly a winnable game for head coach Dan Quinn’s squad.

Looking ahead, this isn’t a matchup you dislike on paper. The Falcons are loaded with talent, and the Colts are being quarterbacked by Jacoby Brissett. As a Falcons fan, you’d like to think this is one of the more winnable games on the schedule. But alas, Vegas disagrees.

Currently the Colts are inexplicably favored by as many as 2 points after opening as 3 point favorites on some betting sites.

For what it’s worth, the Falcons are just 1-5 against the spread over their last 6 road games. I personally don’t expect the same result at Lucas Oil Stadium this weekend, but heck, what do I know? The objective truth is that the Colts are overachieving to some degree right now. Nobody would’ve expected them to be 1-1 at this point in the season after the news of Andrew Luck’s retirement broke.
