The weekly inactives are like the first smell of football. It’s so close you can almost see Vic Beasley blowing a play. We noted earlier this week that Matt Gono was out. Otherwise, we are seeing the healthy depth players the Falcons just don’t have a lot of use for.

The top news? Russell Gage is back despite suffering a concussion last week against the Minnesota Vikings. He’s shown some truly awesome skill but has not had a chance to show it off during the regular season. Maybe Sunday night he can show out against the Eagles’ depth.
More surprising is, again, Deadrin Senat. He was a plus run defender as a rookie but has consistently not been given a chance to play with the starters, even during the preseason. There’s a chance that Tyeler Davison has just completely taken his spot. Also surprising: The Falcons kept five running backs on the 53-man roster. This is the second week in a row that two of them will not play. What the point of keeping both of them was we still don’t know.

There are no surprising names for the Eagles. Looks like both teams are at full strength.
