The Falcons narrowly lost to the Broncos in the Hall of Fame Game, a glorified exhibition that saw Kurt Benkert shine and get hurt, John Cominsky’s big day, and some interesting performances from a variety of young players.
Now we’re on to the real preseason. This Thursday night, Atlanta will play the Miami Dolphins, and we may actually see a glimpse of a handful of starters, though Julio Jones won’t be among them. Chiefly, the game will once again be a big opportunity for young receivers, running backs, tight ends, offensive linemen, and defenders to showcase their talents with Matt Schaub and Matt Simms piloting the offense. It won’t be pretty, but hopefully it’ll be injury-free and we’ll see some Falcons shine.
Here’s what you need to know to watch the game ahead.
