In a day of roster cuts and Jaeden Graham’s apparent triumph, the only question that’s being asked by Falcons fans concerns Matt Bryant.
We already knew that Bryant was beloved by the fanbase, but now that it appears his re-signing is imminent, they’re chomping at the bit for his return. We just don’t have a timeline just yet, though the safe money is on the Falcons bringing Bryant back in the not-too-distant future.
Per ESPN’s Vaughn McClure, the workout went well. If the Falcons are comfortable with his health, they’ll probably start hammering out an accord, and Giorgio Tavecchio and Blair Walsh will be looking for new teams soon.
Vet kicker Matt Bryant told me his workout with the Falcons ``went well‘’ today. Now he’s leaving it up to his agent and the Falcons to work something out.

Bryant was terrific a year ago, as per usual, with injury issues only slightly marring a tremendous year. Those injury concerns and his contract appear to be why the Falcons moved on from him in the first place, but with Giorgio Tavecchio faltering badly in August and Blair Walsh being...well, Blair Walsh...the Falcons went back to their kicker since 2009.
My guess is that we’ll see something done in the next few days, but there’s no real timeline unless other teams are trying to snag Bryant as well. We’ll find out soon enough.
