For many of the Falcons who will be sleeping fitfully tonight before they learn their fates tomorrow, the performance on Thursday night was not important. The Falcons have already decided on 30-plus players who are going to make the roster, and more germane for us when we wake up in the morning, they’ve already decided on nearly 30 cuts they need to make.
Dimitroff said probably 27 cuts tomorrow then the rest on Saturday.

That’s a harsh truth, but one every player participating last night already knew: Cuts are coming, and they could be on the wrong end of it. The reality is that there were only about 15-20 players who participated last night, if that, who had anything to gain from playing well, at least in terms of trying to make the Falcons. With good performances, some will hope to latch on with another team.
Those cuts could come in as soon as this morning and as late as the late evening, but here’s an early guess at who we’ll see. The remaining nine or ten cuts—which will likely come at the key positional battles we’ve been covering closely—will be on Saturday.
