The Falcons defense played a good game overall in the preseason game against Washington and we’re here to talk about it on our latest postgame podcast. I’m joined by our own Evan Birchfield to talk about the game, players who stood out and some of the lingering story-lines from the “dress rehearsal” game.

Our topics included:

  • Why Giorgio Tavecchio may already been done and what the team needs to do at kicker now
  • Jaeden Graham and his chances of making the roster
  • Matt Gono’s “good enough” performance at right tackle
  • The strong performance by the defensive line, including Deadrin Senat and Adrian Clayborn leading the way
  • The impressive performances of Jermaine Grace and Duke Riley and why Bruce Carter may be the odd-man out next week at linebacker
  • Other standout performances from the last meaningful preseason game of 2019
