Atlanta Falcons players reported to training camp yesterday, and Julio Jones showed up as expected.
Falcons report to training camp today; even WR Julio Jones will be there, despite not receiving the contract extension he wanted. But Falcons’ owner Arthur Blank has said he wants to reward Jones.

The biggest stories this offseason were when/if certain players would get new contracts. Recently, defensive stars Grady Jarrett and Deion Jones both got new contracts, which they deserved. The one currently awaiting a payday is the NFL’s best wide receiver, Julio Jones.
Julio knows he’s getting paid, as he recently stated that he wasn’t holding out for a new contract. His faith in Falcons owner Arthur Blank is rare these days, especially in the NFL. As we all know, Julio has all the talent to be a diva, but refuses to do so. He’s a phenomenal athlete with God-given talent, but is a team-player first and foremost.
#Falcons WR Julio Jones said he was going to show up to camp on time, despite not having a long-term extension. And he has, in fact, arrived. It may be a little while for the contract though.

It may take longer than people expect for Julio to get a new contract, with many thinking he would receive a new one prior to the start of training camp. Regardless, the Falcons are determined to keep Julio in Atlanta for life, and they’ll more than likely make him the highest paid receiver in the league. Julio’s set to make $9.6 million in 2019, and has two years left on a five-year contract worth $71 million he signed in 2015.
