Happy weekend, all! Why not pair your second morning coffee with a little bit of Falcons trivia about this team’s defense? I promise it’s not a depressing question, this time.

Here’s the question: Who holds the single season Falcons record for pass deflections?

There’s some necessary context here. The NFL didn’t keep track of this stat in any meaningful way until 1999, which means it’s very possible that others actually have the record but there’s no way to be sure. This is similar to the challenge of trying to figure out where Claude Humphrey fits on the team’s all-time sack leader board. The other piece of context is that the all-time NFL leader for a single season is Darrelle Revis with 31, and our all-time Falcons leader comes in just seven behind that.

So who is it? Bonus points if you can tell me who the team’s all-time career leader in pass deflections is.
