How do you take your morning coffee? Straight black? With cream and sugar? With just some half-and-half while the sugar is held? Are you more of an iced coffee person, or do you like it hot?

Well, no matter how you take your morning coffee, we have some reading material for you to start your day and your week.

We’re still in June so training camp is still a month away and the season isn’t yet on the horizon. It will be soon enough, however.

Matt Ryan speaks

Matt Ryan has been making the rounds these past few days, going on interviews and expressing a lot of optimism and positivity for the Falcons’ upcoming season.

A post popped up on the Falcons’ Instagram page, where the franchise quarterback indicated that he expects the Birds to be “champs” in the 2019 season. Ryan doubled down and put the post on his personal Instagram story.

Ryan’s voice could also be heard on the radio waves this week, as he went on the “Jim Rome Show” and talked about what star wide receiver Julio Jones means to him.

If you need a little bit more Matt Ryan in your life, check out my latest “Matty Ice Moments” article here. This moment really sucks though, so I don’t blame you if you don’t want to relive it.

Some player predictions for the upcoming season

The receiving corps will be one of the most exciting units for the Falcons in the upcoming season. Our own Evan Birchfield and David Walker (DW) take a stab at predicting what kind of numbers Atlanta’s primary wide receivers will generate this season.

Evan makes the prediction for Calvin Ridley. DW makes the forecast for Mohamed Sanu. Julio Jones’ predicted totals were also made by DW.

And it’s not just receivers we’re looking at, either. The boss, Dave Choate, talked about the role Deadrin Senat can expect in his sophomore season.

If you’re looking to switch it up and read about a Falcon legend from yesteryear instead, we have that kind of variety — check out Evan’s latest Throwback Thursday article about Bill Fralic.

Falcons Trivia

And finally, it’s not the June dead period without some Falcons trivia. With the uncompromising Falcons knowledge of a supercomputer, Dave Choate has been providing trivia based content for us to mull over for days.

Wanna know who scored the first ever touchdown in the Georgia Dome? That’s here. Who had the worst kicking season in Falcons history and what his percentage was? Right here. What the most lopsided victory in Falcons history was? I think y’all will like this answer, that’s here. Which five Falcons QBs registered a perfect passer rating in a game? That’s here as well.

Disclosure though, the answers aren’t directly in the articles. You’ll have to find them in the comments.

Dave has also put in tireless work to give us some discussion pieces as well — here you’ll find a debate of the best and worst Falcons QB performances, and here is some talk about whether the Falcons will exceed or fall short of their projected Vegas win total.

I hope that morning coffee was delicious, and I don’t doubt that the reading material was just as good. Now let’s go make the most of our week!
