The Atlanta Falcons have announced the 2019 training camp dates that will be open to the public, giving fans an opportunity to see their favorite players practicing at Flowery Branch under the sweltering summer sun.
In all, the Falcons are opening eight days to the public, including their annual military appreciation day on August 4th at Mercedes-Bnez Stadium. The full schedule can be found below and at the team’s website at the link above, and all practices except August 4 will be held at the team’s facility in Flowery Branch. The hillside next to the practice fields will be crowded, but it’s a great place to watch the team work, and there are often opportunities to get player autographs and chat with them a little.
It’s also a great opportunity to see promising rookies work and see how guys like Keanu Neal and Ricardo Allen are recovering from injury. I still have fond memories of seeing Devonta Freeman looking like one of the most impressive players on the field back in 2014, and this year’s rookie crop is filled with interesting guys worth watching.
