Patrick Peterson suspended for Falcons game due to PEDs

The 8-time Pro Bowl corner won’t face off with Julio Jones.

NFL: Arizona Cardinals at Atlanta Falcons Jason Getz-USA TODAY Sports

Two of the NFL’s top players won’t face each other this year after one was caught taking banned substances. Julio Jones has gotten the better of corner Patrick Peterson on their prior matchups, and we will consider October 13th’s game another win for Julio.

The Falcons narrowly made the suspension window thanks to the week 6 matchup.

This is disappointing as that matchup may be the most interesting part of the game. The Cardinals were a wreck last season and will be dealing with another rookie quarterback and head coach combo. There is not a lot of talent on that team, suggesting a pretty high likelihood the game will be decided by halftime.

As for Julio, start him in every single fantasy football league that week. He will be covered by Robert Alford.
